Artist Polly Anderson was looking for quality canvas print art reproductions of her paintings. Polly had a series of art works she’d had copies done on a medium format camera and copied to transparencies.
This was the first one done – scanned at maximum resolution on my Nikon 9000 scanner. This produced a nicely detailed image making a 760 x 355mm canvas print.
Polly loved the vibrant colours from the scan and print and will be back to make more copies in her series. More of her work can be seen at her website here
Sue Shepherd from the Whangarei Camera Club called in to see me about having this and another safari photo printed onto canvas in black and white. Sue had prepared the image with the styilised border. These were printed 19inces (475mm) wide. Sue loved the look of the prints and the true neutral black and whites. One canvas print is to be donated towards fundraising for Northland Hockey Black Stick Representatives at the coming London Olympics. For more canvas printing information click Here
Ben saw me about having this photo put onto canvas. Ben’s son Max was born prematurely by quite a few weeks. Happily, he was in the skilled hands of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Middlemore Hospital, Auckland, one of the best facilities in the world.
Ben had this photo taken with Max holding his hand. It was cropped from a larger photo, turned to black and white and had a white misty vignette surround added. It was printed on to canvas and looked excellent. Ben says Max is doing fine and now weighs a few kilos. It won’t be long before Max will be home..
Emma from Emma Rogers Photography contacted me about getting her work printed onto canvas. She’d been recommended by fellow photographer Louise Panther. Emma specialises in weddings, portraits, maternity, newborn and art photography.
Emma was looking for high quality mounted canvas prints and was very happy with the work we did for her. Emma’s website with further examples of her work can be found at Emma Rogers Photography
Murray from Wellington enquired about having this photo of his daughter enlarged and printed onto canvas. Measuring 5 x 7in standard print, a high resolution scan was made. All minor marks and scratches removed then enlarged to 500 x 770mm and printed onto canvas.
In Murray’s own words:
“The subject is my daughter who was probably six. I took the photo using a very basic camera in the early 1980’s, in Burnham Beeches in England . I had an enlargement done at the time by someone in England advertising a very similar service to yours in the newspaper – I remember mailing it away and being very pleased with the result; and even remember the cost, which was seven pounds.
That original enlargement was then framed and has been on the wall of our home in Lower Hutt for 35 years. It has faded slightly over that time, hence the new enlargement which does an excellent job of restoring the colours of the original.
Darren called in to see me about having a couple of pencil sketches printed onto canvas. Darren runs a business doing architectural drafting. As a side interest Darren has been drawing freehand pencil sketches. He was keen to see these two printed and mounted on canvas.
I scanned in the drawings, resizing and printing them. With the black and white abilities of the Z3100 printer, the sketches came out looking marvelous. The top image of the house will be a gift for Darren’s mother, while the other of the launch will be proudly displayed in Darren’s office.
