Sue Shepherd from the Whangarei Camera Club called in to see me about having this and another safari photo printed onto canvas in black and white. Sue had prepared the image with the styilised border. These were printed 19inces (475mm) wide. Sue loved the look of the prints and the true neutral black and whites. One canvas print is to be donated towards fundraising for Northland Hockey Black Stick Representatives at the coming London Olympics. For more canvas printing information click Here
Roy and Julie saw me about having three holiday photos printed onto canvas. They’d been to Queenstown and were keen to to have these photos done. I suggested they have the photos cropped to remove a lot of building clutter to give more emphasis on the scenery.
Just making some cropping adjustments can make a real difference. Ross and Julie were thrilled with the end results.
Karen from Auckland contacted me about making up a montage canvas print of a recent safari to Zambia & Botswana, Africa. Over a period of two weeks, Karen & her husband traveled in a guided camping safari group.
Covering destinations such as Livingstone & Victoria falls, Chobe National Park, Khwai River & Moremi Game Reserves, Okavango Delta and Nxai Pan Salt Flats, Karen compiled a series of photos of the animals she saw. In her own words: “Catch Phrase from our trip: “Botswana it’s my favourite”. Most crazy thing we did – white water rafting on the Zambezi river. I would absolutely recommend going to Botswana to anyone looking for that amazing safari experience, beautiful country & people and the animals were spectacular.”
With Karen advising on the layout of the photos, the above 975mm wide mounted canvas print was created.
Upon receiving the canvas, Karen wrote back:”Just to let you know the print has been delivered. It looks amazing, really happy with the end product – thank-you! My husband was very impressed with the print as well. We really like how you have framed it as well, very solid.
Definitely will recommend your services to any friends looking to have prints done.
Emma from Emma Rogers Photography contacted me about getting her work printed onto canvas. She’d been recommended by fellow photographer Louise Panther. Emma specialises in weddings, portraits, maternity, newborn and art photography.
Emma was looking for high quality mounted canvas prints and was very happy with the work we did for her. Emma’s website with further examples of her work can be found at Emma Rogers Photography
Most people own a cherished pet. But have you considered printing a photo of it onto canvas? For a long lasting print, easy to maintain, you can have a print hanging on your wall in nearly any size.
This excellent photo is one such example, measuring 450mm high it’s now hanging proudly on the owner’s wall. Photo courtesy of David from Dtphotographics Link to Dtphotographics
Murray from Wellington enquired about having this photo of his daughter enlarged and printed onto canvas. Measuring 5 x 7in standard print, a high resolution scan was made. All minor marks and scratches removed then enlarged to 500 x 770mm and printed onto canvas.
In Murray’s own words:
“The subject is my daughter who was probably six. I took the photo using a very basic camera in the early 1980’s, in Burnham Beeches in England . I had an enlargement done at the time by someone in England advertising a very similar service to yours in the newspaper – I remember mailing it away and being very pleased with the result; and even remember the cost, which was seven pounds.
That original enlargement was then framed and has been on the wall of our home in Lower Hutt for 35 years. It has faded slightly over that time, hence the new enlargement which does an excellent job of restoring the colours of the original.
Darren called in to see me about having a couple of pencil sketches printed onto canvas. Darren runs a business doing architectural drafting. As a side interest Darren has been drawing freehand pencil sketches. He was keen to see these two printed and mounted on canvas.
I scanned in the drawings, resizing and printing them. With the black and white abilities of the Z3100 printer, the sketches came out looking marvelous. The top image of the house will be a gift for Darren’s mother, while the other of the launch will be proudly displayed in Darren’s office.
Marcee came to see me about having this great photo printed onto canvas. This is a picture of her brother with a Kingfish he’d speared just out from the Whangarei Harbour entrance.
Marcee decided to have it enlarged to A2 size – a big size to match the fish!

What a great summer it’s been so far – weather and work wise. December especially was a record month as more artists joined up to get high quality canvas (giclee) reproductions made of their work. Also a big thanks to all the professional and amateur photographers for using my services.
Next year is looking to be a big year. I’ll be taking a well earned break until January 10th, but will take enquiries on Dec 30 and 31. Have a great break!
